Young Ambassadors

Fantastic start to the Coventry Young Ambassador’s Outdoor team building day. Making new friends and building brilliant dens!

Our special day at Coombe Abbey finished with Archery, Laser Tag and team games. Look how far Kearna smashed the target out with her arrow. Our Coventry Young Ambassadors love representing our school and city.

Silver Award

Mr Rogers and Mrs Bollands from Earlsdon Primary  spent the afternoon with the Royal Opera House  team celebrating the Silver award for ‘Impact Through Partnership’ at the Pearson National Teaching Awards.

Capulet’s Ball

Absolutely beautiful, romantic, angry, aggressive, heartbreaking, hilarious and downright wonderful day at Coventry Cathedral  on Friday for the Capulet’s Ball dance showcase. The culmination event of Pearson Award winning Roya Opera House Create and Dance programme with Coventry schools.

Nursery

Our Nursery children visited the Butterfly Farm, they had so much fun!

Year 1 Church Visit

Year 1 visited St Peter’s Church today and we would love to share the photos on our school website.

The children were learning about ‘Which place of worship is sacred for Christians?’ We looked at the objects in a church and their uses and particularly enjoyed admiring a stained glass window which contained many symbols of Coventry and Christianity.

Superhero Smash

Eight brave heroes from KS2 took part in a wonderful morning of inclusive sport at Grangehurst Primary. The Superhero Smash sports event gave children the chance to try tennis, wheelchair tennis, boccia, adapted cycling, dancing and Superhero dress up! Our children were so wonderful and kind and were praised by several adults from other schools. Kevin and Austin from Year 4 came home with medal for their amazing teamwork and friendship making.

Everybody Dance Workshop

We are so proud of all of our Year 5 children that took part the Royal Opera House ‘Everybody Dance’ workshop. Here’s a look inside at the joy and excitement of 2963 children in 33 schools across the country dancing to Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Coventry Young Ambassadors

Four children from Year 4 and four from Year 5 went to Woodlands Sports Centre and spent the morning training to be our newest Coventry Young Ambassadors. This programme has been running for many years now and gives children valuable experience hosting all sorts of events in school and across the city. We learnt how to make others feel welcome with our tone of voice and body language. Please welcome our new Ambassadors – watch out for them in their purple hoodies: Archisman, Kearna, Eisa, Yara, Tiana, Muzammil, Aya and Abdulrahman.
