We raised £232.70 and as usual Southfield’s children made a fantastic effort with their outfits.
Thank You so much everyone!
National School Breakfast Programme
We are pleased to say we have joined the National School Breakfast Programme and it appears to be going well. We have been giving out buttered bagels as the children arrive on the playground. This is funded by The Department for Education so will be free of charge. Please continue to give your children breakfast at home before they come this is an added extra to keep their energy levels up in the cold weather.
School Nursing are continuing to offer FREE virtual health information sessions via Eventbrite especially for parents/carers.
These will run throughout the academic year and will include sessions around managing toileting, behaviour, challenges in eating and sleep.
These links open and operate far more efficiently via Google Chrome, so if this isn’t your default browser please copy the link into a Google Chrome browser. Please also ensure you fill in the booking form fully, when registering for a session, we need you to detail your child or children’s full name and date of birth as well as the name of the school they attend, so we can update our records of your attendance.
You may receive emails about your Eventbrite booking, please check your spam/junk box as these emails may automatically sit there. Please try to log on 5 mins before the session. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Thank you to all the children in Years 1 and 2 for taking part in the Community Dental session. All the information gathered helps to look at problems children in the city face regarding their teeth. As always, the visitors praised the behaviour of the children and look forward to coming in again in the New Year.
Citizen and Parent of the Month
Please can I remind you that the eyes and ears of Southfields are looking and listening all the time to see who is doing the right thing at the right time. Parents make sure your children are in school on time, in the right uniform, eaten breakfast and are ready to learn. Reading every day and completing their set homework is very important.
You could be our first Citizen or Parent of the month. We have some great prizes waiting for the winners.
